Mr. Kobayashi's new works appeared on the photography magazine "Asahi Camera" May issue. I was glad.
Photographer Norio Kobayashi has an ability to point to the future by showing infinitely strange daily life in a disarmingly simple way. I once wrote about him in the title "Photographer of Multi-dimension". At that time what I wanted to say was "Photographer's excitement within his heart is, in every situasion, veiled very thinly. The present emotion disappears into space, leaving a unique image as a remnant".
Even though "Akita" is the birthplace of Mr. Kobayashi, it doesn't look like he took photos of his hometown. That is because, under the striking blue sky, he is concentrating on something beyond the subject matter. He also teaches at a photography school in Hiyosi. I'm stadying there. I was moved when encouraged by Mr. Kobayashi who usually is not necessarily eloquent. There are quite a few unique people among students in the class. Not to mention other teathers there are quite a few professional photographers who have their own unique world. But if I'm allowed to make a judgement I think the photographer Norio Kobayashi is the best future. He (his consciousness) has no past nor present. Realizing moving self, moving subject matter as fate I think he enjoys the shootings of photographies.
I'm sure he would continue to show us the future being driven by the thirst of his soul.
